General Information for calculating shipping charges in undefined country zones

Our employees in the shipping department are always ready for you to filter out the most cost effective offer from the multitude of vendors. However, some things are due to the size (dimensions), the weight or due to customs import bans or country specific regulations simply not possible.
In the following we would like to explain some basic things to exclude in advance impractical shipping inquiries for worldwide shipping:
Letter post Shipping:
Small orders, product weighs including packing not more than 1kg by a size of max. 353mmx250mmx25mm.
Very inexpensive worldwide feasible, additional sometimes very quickly
Normal international Post parcel shipping:
Possible depending on the country either combined dimensions (length + circumference) of 2 meters or 3 meters, maximum length up to 1 meter.
Inexpensive worldwide feasible, acceptable speed
International Parcel service or EMS Post service shipping:
Where above normal parcel shipping because of the dimensions is no longer possible, we must work with international parcel services such as GLS, UPS, FEDEX, EMS etc.. With these partners, longer parcels as 1 meter can be shipped. However, the costs are also much more expensive as with shipping with normal post service. The time up to the receipt of the package is very quickly. Combined dimensions (length + circumference) is up to maximum of 3 meters, maximum length of the longest side up to 2 meters.
It is much more expensive but much more quickly because performed with parcel services or Express Mail Service of the Post.
Forwarding agent shipping:
Will be used for all larger and heavier products than be possible for the parcel service. In addition, for products that would be suitable for parcel service because of the dimensions of the parcel, but heavier than the maximum allowed weight of 50 kg for parcel service. Costs remain within the limits if it can be transported over land by rail or truck. Mostly the cargo has to be flown. Now and then the cheaper sea freight is possible. Please be realistic here that high freight costs has to be expected. In some countries, we can only deliver up to the respective airport.
Expensive shipping cost has to be expected. As heavier and larger the item as more expensive, high costs.
