Recommended racket length per height

All the childrens tennis rackets on offer in our shop are marked in cm so that with help from our size chart you can quickly find out if the racket wished is suitable for your child.

General information

Childrens rackets unlike adult models vary in length and weight according to the childs height and age. Different materials are also used, rackets for smaller children are mostly made with aluminium. By older children the rackets are often produced with similar materials as used in adult rackets and also have a continuous one piece frame. The weight of junior racket models lay between 160 and 270 gramms. The lengths range between 480mm (19") and 685 mm (27"). Mostly the manufacturers offer 3 to 5 different sizes per model. In the above chart we have put together the recommended length for the different racket brands for each childs height. If undecided between two racket lengths we recommend the smaller racket for beginners and weaker children. We suggest the longer racket for stronger and more advanced juniors.
