But more importantly: The ALPINA HACKNEY protects youngsters on all their adventures. The stable inmold construction and Hi-EPS provide cushioning properties in the event of a collision. A guardian angel, formed by the upper helmet openings, also always rides along. It is to be taken playfully, but is also a symbol with a clear statement: ALPINA wants to protect you. Always. Everywhere. The ventilation inlets of the ALPINA HACKNEY not only form a face and a guardian angel, but are predominantly responsible for optimal ventilation. The height-adjustable Run-System also provides comfort. Thus, adjustment is very easy and maximum comfort guaranteed. Optionally, a plug-in light can be integrated into the rear of the bike helmet, so that the kids are perceived early on by other road users even in poor visibility and darkness. Visibility brings security. That's why ALPINA HACKNEY is also available in a neon yellow "be visible" version.

HOW DO I MEASURE MY HELMET SIZE

 

Measuring the helmet size

 

A flexible tape measure is needed to find out the correct size. The head is measured by placing the tape measure around the head about 1 cm above the eyebrow and wrapping the band tightly around the head. 

The correct helmet size = head measurement in cm + 1 cm 

 

Important information

 

The helmet is thankfully as shown by accident statistics a standard piece of equipement needed in sport. In the past one would be laughed at when wearing a helmet where as today it is the other way around, being used in summer for biking, skating, inline skating and in winter for boarding and skiing. Generally there are 2 possibilities to adjust the helmet for the perfect fit. One is the head ring system, an inbuilt band with an adjustable mechanism at the rear of the helmut. The second method is the use of velcroe attached padding inside the helmet. The padding system does not allow a large adjustment possibility like the head ring system.

 

All helmets in our range meet safety standards and have been tested.

 

OUR TIP:
For children we recommend the head ring system so that the helmet can be used for more easons due to its larger adjustment range. Please remember that after heavy accidents the helmet should be replaced.
