By combining a specially developed membrane with different outer fabric qualities, garments from the VENTURI series have optimum properties for a wide range of applications. The special feature of Venturi jackets, trousers or vests is the excellent grip, which ensures a soft feel. In the Venturi clothing, a 2 or 3 layer laminate is processed as needed. It is in line with Schöffel's philosophy that a high standard is applied when assessing the technical characteristics of our Venturi products. This is permanently checked by regular functional and quality tests.

Why is Venturi waterproof and windproof?
The closed membrane has no openings or pores through which water or wind can penetrate. Venturi is hydrophilic, so water friendly. Hydrophilic fibers attract and absorb moisture. In combination with hydrophobic, ie water-repellent fibers results in an excellent moisture transport. With a water column of 10,000 mm, Schöffel clearly exceeds the DIN standard for water resistance of 1,300 mm. In addition, all seams are welded with a special tape and all zippers are sealed.

Of course, Venturi Stretch offers all the features of a conventional Venturi garment and, in addition, maximum elasticity. This material allows even better fit, more freedom of movement and allows close-fitting cuts with maximum function.

Why is venturi breathable?
The structure of Venturi has coarse and fine molecular compounds. Due to the coarse molecular structures of the water vapor can escape, provided there is a water vapor gradient, d. H. the water vapor molecule migrates from the high concentration site to the low concentration site. A second requirement is a temperature gradient, i. H. the outside temperature must be lower than the temperature in the garment. This water vapor transport is called breathability.
