Which Stand Up Paddle (SUP) is suitable for beginners?
Basically, all our Stand Up Paddle models up to a length of 12" (300cm) are all-rounder boards and are intended for beginners.
In particular, we recommend the round SUP for beginners as it is easier to maneuver and therefore offers more stability.

 

How do I find the right Stand Up Paddle (SUP) length?
Short boards (under 10' = 250cm): Ideal for surfing and/or for children. These boards almost always have a planing hull.
Short boards are more maneuverable than long boards, making them great for surfing.
Boards designed specifically for kids are typically around 8' long.

 

Medium boards (10' to 12' = 250-300 cm): Ideal for all-round use and for beginners. Most of these boards have a planing hull.

 

Longboards (12'6" and higher = from 300 cm): Ideal for fast paddling and long-distance tours. They are faster than short and medium-sized boards and tend to go straight.

 

If you are interested in paddling fast or long distances, then a longboard is just the thing.

 

What is the difference between round and pointed Stand Up Paddles (SUP's)?

 

Round SUP:
These boards are usually very wide and are built without a pronounced rocker line (bottom curve). This makes these stand up paddle boards extremely easy to ride and easy to turn, as they are stable with a large area on the water.
These boards are ideal for flat inland waters or calm days by the sea. Allround SUPs are extremely stable and are suitable for SUP beginners, families, but also advanced paddlers who like to paddle comfortably.

 

Pointed SUP:
Pointed boards are streamlined and move faster on a body of water due to their shape. Sporty paddlers who travel a lot and over long distances often opt for a top-of-the-line SUP.

 

Experienced paddlers are also out on rivers with pointed boards to get a not-so-everyday kick.
What material is the Stand Up Paddle (SUP) made of?
Our models are Inflatable Stand Up Paddling Boards and built using the so-called drop-stitch method.
In order to obtain the desired stability, the upper and lower deck (i.e. the top and bottom of the SUP board) are connected internally by countless threads.
