The Alpina Maroi Junior is made for the cool kids. Maximum safety, top features and a clean shape characterise the helmet. The modern design is characterised by subtle lines and discreet air vents on the top. They supply the helmet with fresh air. Inside, it is actively distributed via air channels in the EPS. This increases comfort just as much as the redesigned interior. It consists of comfortable padding that is perforated at the ears. This makes it easier to perceive everything you can hear going on around you. Safety is also increased. With the help of the high-quality Run System Ergo Snow, the ALPINA MAROI JUNIOR can easily be adapted to the head shape - even wearing thick gloves. This allows for the fit to be individually adapted and perfect comfort when wearing. The helmet is refined with Edge Protect - polycarbonate lower edge protection in the front area. It makes the ALPINA MAROI JUNIOR even more robust. And therefore even more suitable for your first adventure in the powder.

 

-Airstream Control:

Air vents at the top of the helmet can be opened and closed using the Airstream Control mechanism. The air flow can thus be regulated and adapted to the weather conditions. This ensures perfect air conditioning inside the helmet at all times.

 

-Ceramic shell:

All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process are fitted with a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched under intense heat onto the shape of the helmet in the making and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic shell is characterized by several qualities: It is impact- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.

 

-Edge Protect:

Edge Protect is an additional polycarbonate plate that give inmold helmets a touch of refinement. It covers the edges on the underside of the helmet. This protects the Hi-EPS and increases the helmet's durability.

 

-Ergomatic:

Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.

 

-Hi-EPS:

The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.

 

-Inmold:

In the inmould production process, the polycarbonate upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under intense heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.

 

-Run System Ergo Snow:

The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. Alpina relies on the tried-and-tested Run System Classic for its ski helmets, a flexible head adjustment system with a central dial. A twist mechanism allows the headband to be adjusted more loosely or more tightly. The large dial is equipped with a non-slip two-component mix and can be operated perfectly with ski gloves.

 

-Y-Clip:

A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of an impact. The adjustment and fixing of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role. The Y-clip system ensures a millimetre-accurate adjustment - in a matter of seconds.

HOW DO I MEASURE MY HELMET SIZE

 

Measuring the helmet size

 

A flexible tape measure is needed to find out the correct size. The head is measured by placing the tape measure around the head about 1 cm above the eyebrow and wrapping the band tightly around the head. 

The correct helmet size = head measurement in cm + 1 cm 

 

Important information

 

The helmet is thankfully as shown by accident statistics a standard piece of equipement needed in sport. In the past one would be laughed at when wearing a helmet where as today it is the other way around, being used in summer for biking, skating, inline skating and in winter for boarding and skiing. Generally there are 2 possibilities to adjust the helmet for the perfect fit. One is the head ring system, an inbuilt band with an adjustable mechanism at the rear of the helmut. The second method is the use of velcroe attached padding inside the helmet. The padding system does not allow a large adjustment possibility like the head ring system.

 

All helmets in our range meet safety standards and have been tested.

 

OUR TIP:
For children we recommend the head ring system so that the helmet can be used for more easons due to its larger adjustment range. Please remember that after heavy accidents the helmet should be replaced.
