Mechanical prusik roller for tree care

 

The mechanical ZIGZAG Prusik reel enables efficient movement in the tree with the same movements as with the classic Prusik reel. Thanks to the chain to lock the rope, the arborist can move precisely and smoothly. The rope pulley with encapsulated ball bearing makes it easier to pull in the rope. The device is suitable for use on double and single strands and thus offers numerous possible uses. The lower fixed connection eyelet ensures the correct alignment of the device to the user and facilitates handling.

 

Detailed description
Intuitive operation:
- The same hand movements as with a conventional Prusik reel.
- When the chain links pull apart, they lock the rope.
For efficient locomotion in the tree:
- The release lever allows for a smooth and precise payout of the rope and a high precision in locomotion. The user can control the descent speed by changing the pressure on the lever.
- The rope can be pulled in effortlessly thanks to the pulley with sealed ball bearing and the separate, curved side parts.
- The lower fixed connection eyelet ensures the correct alignment of the device to the user and facilitates handling.
Versatile uses:
- suitable for use on double strands as well as on single strands with the CHICANE accessory, which increases braking friction during descent, and the KNEE ASCENT knee ascender systems, which facilitate ascent,
- Upper connection eyelet for rope deflection when used on a double strand or for the additional CHICANE braking element when used on a single strand. It is equipped with a rubber ring that ensures the positioning of the connector in the longitudinal axis.
- additional connection eyelet for attaching a ZILLON lanyard or a second safety system.
Wear resistance:
- The steel construction guarantees a long service life.
- The separate, curved side parts guarantee high wear resistance.
Rope Compatibility: 11.5 to 13mm diameter.
The ZIGZAG makes it possible to meet the requirements of the ANSI Z133 standard at work.
